Apr. 14th, 2003 06:01 pmGood news! Yes yes. I now have three professors who have agreed to be references for me on my grad school application. They're all three very well respected and are at Eastern, which is where I go now and will hopefully go to grad school, so that ought to get me in good. That's a load off of my mind. It has to help give me points when one is even the last Graduate Advisor and one has been around forever, although he's retiring after this quarter. And the other is Dr. Finnie, aka Big Daddy, who everyone loves. Soooo.. I have a better shot than I might. Just need the $35 to send it in and I'm all set. Then it's only waiting. Of course, that's the hard part.
Today was a decent enough day. I couldn't force myself to go to my first class, though. It was freezing outside and raining and it was way across campus. And I was still groggy somewhat from Vicodin, so I just crashed in the PUB for an extra hour. That stuff just wipes me sometimes. Then it was off to Chicano Studies for the few minutes it took me to take a 20 question multiple choice test. It went all right, not great but not bad. Then after that it was Dr. Logan's class, where we discussed Mark Twain's Pudd'nhead Wilson. I liked the book, but then I'm not sure I could dislike anything by Mark Twain. He simply rocks. Must try to read more of him during summer break.
Well, I must get to the dishes, lucky me. What a dreary chore. Ah well, a couple quizzes first, then back to the drudgery.
