Apr. 8th, 2003 10:13 pmI think Jason is obsessed with Metallica. Mike seems to have influenced him. Not that I'm complaining. I like them, too. It's cute when he decides to dance to it and then gets to looking all tough. What a kid. Gotta love him.
Well, almost half through the week. It hasn't been too bad. Got my appeal off to the financial aid people, I should get my rejection soon enough. Not that I care all that much. It would be nice to have spending money, and I really would like to buy some new clothes (I'm so tired of the usual jeans and tee shirt shit), but if this was gonna happen, this was the right quarter for it. I'll hopefully get my application for grad school off really soon, too. Just have to wait for John's paycheck to get the $35. I'm not sure if I've missed the deadline due to lack of funds, though. If I have, I can just skip fall quarter and go in the winter. I'll be bummed if there's something I really want to take in the fall, but ah well. I know that Dr. Urcia is offering a class on Chaucer in the winter, I just don't want to miss that. I so love Chaucer and would love the chance to delve more deeply into the Canterbury Tales.
If my arm doesn't start feeling better here soon, I'm afraid I'm going to have to go to the doctor again. The pain's moved down the arm some and those anti-inflammatory pills aren't doing much for me. The pain pills have, though. Boy, do they make me goofy. Last night was a trip and a half and reaffirmed that I am better off not drinking alcohol. Being drunk would just be wrong. Especially if it affects my talking the way this does. I can hardly shut up. No comments from the peanut gallery, either. Yes Becky, I mean you.
I do have one more thing to say before posting a couple more quizzes, though. Mark Twain was a literary genius. Yup yup. Gotta love him. I do love Lit classes where I get to read neat stuff and get graded on it.
