I went to the orthopedist today for a follow-up. She gave me the choice to have an MRI or to continue physical therapy for a month or so since there is definitely improvement in my shoulders. I chose the PT, partly because it is working, and hopefully I haven't, as they put it, plateaued at where I am, and partly because, well, I dread the idea of an MRI. I'm claustrophobic, and they stick you in a tube where it might be open on both ends, but yeah. Ick.

She did say that if it continues to really hurt like it's been for the past few days, I should go back to her. Also, if I seem to lose strength in it, it's probably a sign of rotator cuff problems and I should go back for that because it's a surgery issue. We'll see what happens. Eric, the physical therapist, said we'll go no as we've been for a couple weeks and then reevaluate to see if I have to go back to the doctor about it or continue for the two weeks after. The doctor said that if it's improved to the point that I don't have much pain, not to bother going back to see her. Let's hope it gets there!

But I'm tired, because a certain 18 month old let me get a total of absolutely zero sleep last night. The little night owl refused to settle into sleep after she woke up around 1 am or so (I was still up), so bleh. She finally went to sleep right after I started getting people up to get ready for school and stuff. I drifted off a bit a few times before Jason left at 8:20, but didn't get real sleep until after he left. Of course, I had to get up around 9:45.

So, I'm going to call my mom since she wanted to know the doctor's verdict, and then try and sleep, if Madison will stop babbling and drift off like she's supposed to. Of course, when she gets this way, she insists on being with me and no one else, the mean little thing. Poor me.
